Teaching

At the Wharton School I co-teach “WH1010: Business and You,” which is housed under the McNulty Leadership program. All incoming first-year students take this course, and I have about 180 of them in my sections. We intensively discuss and reflect on topics such as leadership, teamwork, communication, our professional strengths and liabilities, and more. One of my favorite aspects of the course is bringing in some of my past professional experiences and how I could have used some of the lessons I’m teaching the students!

I teach a virtual course, “Cross-Cultural Leadership” to graduate students at Widener to discuss how we can be the best leaders possible when working with people from different backgrounds and experiences. My goal with this course is for each student to make it personal; how can they apply our lessons to the work they are concurrently engaged in? How can they put their newfound knowlelge and understanding of leading cross-cultural groups into immediate practice?
